Swelling, bruising and temporary firmness may last days to weeks, depending on the product and your response. Persistent lumps, new swelling or filler outside the intended area need assessment. Hyaluronidase can reduce some HA filler, but it has risks and cannot guarantee complete reversal or correct every complication.
Follow the instructions for your actual product and treatment. Ask about eating while numb, lip pressure or kissing, exercise, heat, alcohol and any planned travel before the appointment. Do not massage swelling or try home dissolving methods. Allow recovery time before an important event.
Filler adds volume and can refine shape. A lip flip uses small botulinum toxin injections to relax selected upper-lip muscle, which may reveal more lip without adding volume. Lip flip treatment is off-label and can affect lip function. They are different procedures and are not automatically combined.
